CSG 'QUANTITATIVE PROBABILITY OF UXO CONTAMINATION' MODEL

CSG has, with the assistance and input of the Statistical Consulting Centre of the Melbourne Business School, Lane Xang Minerals Limited and Mr Ian Thomas, GIS Consultant of Vietiane, developed and patented a Model that calculates the quantified probability of UXO of a particular type being present in a given area.  Whereas other readily available models are purely qualitative and subjective and generally only allow for the prioritisation of UXO remediation effort.  The CSG Model however provides companies and organisations with an objective 'real' figure they can readily relate to their own particular level of Risk Adversity and allows them to tailor the UXO remediation undertaken within specific components of their project area.

Sucessfully fielded on projects in Lao PDR and Vietnam, the Model has already been proven to deliver significant savings in terms of time and cost - without decreasing the safety of the project workforce.

For further information on the CSG Model and how it can be applied to a particular project, please contact CSG at chirgwinsg@bigpond.com.
