'Quantitative UXO Risk Assessment'

CSG has developed a Model that calculates the quantified probability of UXO of a particular type being present in a given area.  Unlike other models, the CSG Model provides companies and organisations with an objective 'real' figure they can readily relate to their own particular level of Risk Adversity and allows them to tailor the UXO remediation undertaken within specific components of their project area.

1. CSG Completes Assistance to Port Nepean Community Trust, Portsea.

CSG has now completed its UXO Consulting assistance to the Port Nepean Community Trust as it oversees the redevelopment and return of the Army's former Officer Cadet School and School of Army Health at Portsea to the Victorian State Government. Commencing in 2007, CSG has designed and managed UXO clearance operations to ensure the removal of all Unexploded Ordnance and other Explosive Ordnance that may have resulted from use of the area by the Australian Army. The Director of CSG (and a former graduate of the Officer Cadet School), Carl Chirgwin, congratulated all parties involved on successfully completing this very complex project in an area of such Aboriginal and European historical and cultural significance.

2. CSG Commences Support to Military Range Developments in Qld and SA.

CSG has recently been awarded separate contracts to design, manage and quality-audit UXO projects to support the ongoing development of military facilities at the Proof and Experimental Establishment, Port Wakefield, SA and Shoalwater Bay Training Area, Qld. The projects, expected to be completed in late Jun and September 2009 respectively, will enhance the training and operational capabilities of Australia's military forces.

CSG Signs Contract to Provide UXO Management to TOTAL Vietnam.
CSG has recently signed a contract to conduct a Landmine/UXO Risk Assessment, demining project design and implementation and ongoing management with TOTAL Vietnam. The project, which commenced in Feb 2009 and is expected to run until Jan 2010, is being undertaken in the canals and on the land within the Mekong Delta of southern Vietnam. The partnership with TOTAL provides CSG the opportunity to expand CSG’s intimate knowledge of operations in Vietnam and to continue its close working relationship with BOMICEN and local and regional government authorities.

CSG Commences Support to Oilfield Project in Iran.
CSG has recently been awarded a major contract to provide demining (landmine and UXO removal) management services to a project to clear landmines and UXO from the site of a developing oilfield near the Iran/Iraq border of south-western Iran. The site of land battles for 8 years between 1980 and 1988, reminiscent of the Western Front in World War 1, it presents significant technical challenges and the project allows CSG the opportunity to fully display its ability to work in differing cultural environments. The initial contract called for CSG to provide one Senior manager – it has now expanded to five managers and may continue to grow.
